We know from our own experience that research data and ideas are the most precious goods of a researcher. That is why privacy and the security of private data are our top priority.
With these privacy terms we want to inform you how “scholarz.net“ protects your personal data and your research data saved on our server from misuse.

Research data

2. Privacy principles at „scholarz.net“
scholarz.net is bound to the following principles concerning the protection of your private data:
scholarz.net raises, processes and uses your individual-related data in compliance with the Data Protection Act of the Federal Republic of Germany and the privacy terms of the European Union.
scholarz.net uses your individual-related data only to enable you to use the internet services of scholarz.net which require registration. Under no circumstances will scholarz.net allow any of your individual-related data to be seen by third persons for the purpose of advertisement or marketing or hand individual-related data to any third person. You may choose yourself which data may be seen by other users of „scholarz.net“.
3. Research data
Research data will not be handed to third persons by scholarz.net. You decide yourself who may access the data you have stored at scholarz.net. There are several possibilities to to that which may be read in the help function and the FAQ.
4. Data needed for registration
To provide its services scholarz.net has to raise and process certain registration data. The creation of any of different types of accounts requires:
- Username
- Password
- E-mail-address
scholarz.net will not hand the password or the username to any third person and/or let a third person have access to this data in any other way. scholarz.net will not ask the user for his password at any point of time, exept of login.

6. Right of Withdrawal

7. Cookies
Cookies are little information units scholarz.net needs to identify you as a user and thus to ensure a smooth use of the scholar.net services. Cookies are saved on the hard disk only during an active session, they only need a minimum of disk space and do not affect your system. Cookies do not contain individual-related data.
Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can allow or permit temporary or saved cookies seperately in your browser’s security options. If you deactivate cookies, some features of scholarz.net might be unavailable to you and some websites might not be displayed properly.
Without your consent scholarz.net will not connect the data saved in the used cookies to your individual-related data (name, address, etc.).
8. Statistics
Scholarz.net witholds the right to use statistic tools like Google Analytics or Piwik.
